Known for its great diversity in landscape and habitat, Katmai National Park and Preserve offer countless opportunities for experiencing Alaska's abundance of wildlife, fish, and landscape. Massive runs of salmon fill the Katmai area throughout the summer and fall months, fueling the legendary sport fishing and bear viewing that Katmai is famous for.
The Farm Lodge and Lake Clark Resort offer access to Katmai by floatplane.
We offer day trips from The Farm Lodge to Brooks Camp for brown bear viewing. These trips include a full day on the Brooks River to view bears and an optional flightsee of the Valley of 10,000 Smokes.
We also offer bear viewing in more remote parts of the Katmai Park and Preserve to get you away from the crowd. Because our floatplanes and guides are with you for the entire day, you have the flexibility to move about and stay in the most productive bear viewing.
The surge of Salmon into the Katmai area brings with it the food required for the native trout species to grow into trophy size fish.
Our catch-and-release fishing trips can take you to experience some of Alaska's finest trout fishing in Katma's volcanic and glacial formed landscape. The floatplane offers the ability to move from place to place throughout the day, keeping you in the most productive fishing.
