Our packages are designed for small groups and provide you with a personalized experience. The activities take you into Alaska's most remote areas for chances to photograph bears, caribou, eagles, tundra, glaciers, waterfalls, mountains, and much more. The floatplane and guides are with you for the day, giving you the flexibility to move about and explore the best of the remote Alaska backcountry. These tours truly take you away from the crowd and into Alaska the way it is meant to be experienced.
Important Notes
*Due to the varied age of our staff and the wide diversity of groups we host at The Farm Lodge, we do not allow alcoholic beverages in the main lodge building (dining room). The Farm Lodge does not serve lunch in its dining room but provides excellent box lunches for each day of your stay. The above packages include the transportation of up to 50 pounds of luggage per person between Anchorage and Lake Clark, with everything over 50 pounds traveling at 90 cents per pound, each way. The package rates also include park service fees and taxes. The rates do not include voluntary gratuities.
The actual flight departure and pick up times may vary, depending on the date of your stay.
Full payment is due in order to lock in a reservation. Payments are not refundable for any reason, including medical or weather related cancellations. Lake Clark Resort and The Farm Lodge will always do our best to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, but we encourage you to purchase a trip insurance policy for any unforeseen or unplanned cancellations. PACKAGE #1
Lake Clark and Katmai National Park Combo Package
This tour package is designed with the park enthusiast in mind. It includes a great sampling of the highlights of Lake Clark and Katmai National Parks, including some of the more remote and out-of-the-way attractions.
Day 1:
-3:30 p.m. check in at Anchorage, Merrill Field for Lake Clark scenic tour. The tour (approximately 1 hour) takes you through the scenic Lake Clark Pass, where you will see glaciers and glacial streams in one of Alaska’s most beautiful mountainous settings, ending at The Farm Lodge and Lake Clark Resort on Lake Clark..
-Check in to Lake Clark Resort. Lodging includes a room with private bath, home-cooked Alaskan meals,* and daily housekeeping.
Day 2:
-Guided bear viewing. Travel to Brooks Camp or another remote location in the Katmai Park and Preserve where you will spend an exciting day viewing and photographing Alaska’s notorious Brown Bears feeding and interacting in their natural environment. This day also includes a tour over the Valley of 10,000 Smokes if weather permits.
Day 3:
-Fire and Ice Tour. This day takes you over and into some of Lake Clark National Park and Preserve’s most rugged and breathtaking landscapes. The day includes time on remote lakes for exploring and sightseeing focusing on glacial landscape, active volcanoes, mountain lakes, and tundra landscape.
Day 4:
-Guided tour of Katmai National Park and Preserve’s mountain lakes. This day includes stops at Brooks Camp to see the visitor’s center and stops at other remote lakes for exploring and photography. The day also includes a tour over the Valley of 10,000 Smokes if weather permits.
Day 5:
-Guided day trip to Twin Lakes. We will drop you and your guide at Twin Lakes where you will spend a day exploring the Hope Creek area. Sights include Dick’s and Spike’s cabins, Hope Creek, and Teetering Rock. If you get a chance to pick up a book titled One Man’s Wilderness, it will give you some great background of the area.
Day 6:
-Local unguided hiking to the Lake Clark National Park Service Visitor’s Center, Tanalian Falls, and Kontrashibuna Lake..
Day 7:
-9:00 a.m. check out and scenic tour (approximately 1 hour) ending at Anchorage, Merrill Field
