Our packages are designed for small groups and provide you with a personalized experience. The activities take you into Alaska's most remote areas for chances to photograph bears, caribou, eagles, tundra, glaciers, waterfalls, mountains, and much more. The floatplane and guides are with you for the day, giving you the flexibility to move about and explore the best of the remote Alaska backcountry. These tours truly take you away from the crowd and into Alaska the way it is meant to be experienced.
*Due to the varied age of our staff and the wide diversity of groups we host at The Farm Lodge, we do not allow alcoholic beverages in the main lodge building (dining room). The Farm Lodge does not serve lunch in its dining room but provides excellent box lunches for each day of your stay. The above packages include the transportation of up to 50 pounds of luggage per person between Anchorage and Lake Clark, with everything over 50 pounds traveling at 90 cents per pound, each way. The package rates also include park service fees and taxes. The rates do not include voluntary gratuities.
The actual flight departure and pick up times may vary, depending on the date of your stay.
The Farm Lodge is now taking reservations for 2021 through 2023. A 50% deposit is required in order to hold a reservation against other inquiries, with balance due 2 months before the date of your stay. The deposit is refundable up to 80% only if all cancellations are made no less than 2 months before the scheduled travel date. If you are planning a visit in 2022 or 2023 you can take advantage of our 2021 rates by making reservations before January 1 of 2022. Rates will increase if reservations are not made before January 1 of 2022. Prices are subject to change at any time, prior to a reservation deposit being received. We offer the ideal setting for you to attend your next photography course. Your daily sessions are hosted by The Farm Lodge, giving you the perfect balance of a remote Alaska setting along with refined comfort. The lodge is just a short walk from the Lake Clark National Park visitor center. Local hiking to Tanalian Falls and Kontrashibuna Lake, guided boat tours, and wildlife and landscape tours are also available from The Farm Lodge.
-1:00 p.m. check in for flight from Anchorage to The Farm Lodge. The flight to the lodge takes you through the scenic Lake Clark Pass, where you will see glaciers and glacial streams in one of Alaska's most beautiful mountainous settings.
-Check in to The Farm Lodge. Lodging includes a room with private bath, home-cooked Alaskan meals,* and daily maid service.
-Guided fly-out bear viewing. Travel by floatplane to a remote location where you will spend an exciting day viewing and photographing Alaska's notorious Grizzly and Brown Bears feeding and interacting in their natural environment. Our fall bear viewing takes us to remote locations where the bears have gathered to feed on a massive run of Sockeye salmon.
-Guided fly-out tundra wildlife/sightseeing tour. Our special bush-equipped wheelplane will take you over the tundra in search of wildlife and scenic landscape. The day includes flightseeing as well as at least one off-airport landing for sightseeing and photography.
-The end of this day will drop you off in a remote tundra area where our guide will have a camp set up for a 2-night stay, giving you a more intimate look at the Alaska backcountry. The Farm Lodge will provide a guide, tents, cots, sleeping bags, camp chairs, and a complete kitchen and food (to be prepared by your guide) for this portion of your stay.
-Guided hiking and wildlife viewing in remote tundra area. The Alaska tundra in the fall provides beautiful hiking with opportunities to see caribou, ptarmigan, foxes, bears, and a variety of other wildlife.
-Guided hiking and wildlife viewing in remote tundra area.
-3:00 p.m. pick up from remote camp and return to The Farm Lodge on Lake Clark.
-Local unguided hiking to the Lake Clark National Park Service Visitor's Center, Tanalian Falls, and Kontrashibuna Lake.
-9:00 a.m. check out and return flight to Anchorage.

We travel by well maintained floatplane or boat in search of bears, caribou, moose, eagles, tundra, wildflowers, berries, rugged mountains and glaciers, deep blue lakes, salmon-filled streams, active volcanoes, historic log cabins, and the other hidden treasures of the Alaska backcountry in and around Lake Clark and Katmai National Parks.
Our guides are well experienced for leading groups for fly fishing or groups using spinning gear. Because we have access to such a great variety of fishing, we can keep both the experienced fisher productive and excited as well as give instruction for those interested in trying the sport for the first time..
